"Vantage Point" Photo Exhibit

September 19, 2008

Press Release

The Community Foundation of St. Clair County's, Access to Recreation Initiative is sponsoring a photo exhibition entitled "Vantage Point" which begins Wednesday, November 5 and runs through Wednesday, December 3 at Studio 1219. This unique exhibit will highlight the various challenges that face people with disabilities. Through the lenses of talented area photographers and the written word, those in attendance will experience first-hand the seemingly insurmountable obstacles that many members of our community face while pursuing recreational activities that others take for granted (such as going to the beach, boating, or simply trying to access a favorite event uninhibited by curbs or steps).

An opening night reception, that is free to the public, will also be held Friday, November 7 from 6 to 9pm at Studio 1219, 1219 Military St., Port Huron, Michigan. For more information or reservations please call 810-937-2707.
